Ekow Alabi Savage is a renowned musician and promoter of Ghanaian and African music. He was born on March 28, 1957, in Takoradi, Ghana, to Isaac Tercy Brown and Adjoa Amoono. Despite opposition from his mother and grandmother, Ekow was born with a natural talent for singing, and he pursued music as a career.

Ekow is a founding member of the Roots Anabo fame, which toured the world playing a fusion of jazz, highlife, funk, reggae, and African traditional music that they called Sunlife. He has worked with both local and foreign artists such as Pat Thomas, Kojo Antwi, Eeka Mouse, Reality Brothers, Vitamin X, Jimi Tenor, and Ade Bantu, among others.
Ekow's first solo album, Return to Zion, was a hit, and his latest album, Going for Gold, is also making waves. Some of the standout songs on the album include "Yen Ara Asase," "Asante Sana," "Good morning Africa," "Ataa," "Rasta," and "Awerekyikyire" featuring Dr. Bizzy.
