Born into the family of Pa Joseph Akinyele Obayomi and Madam Agnes Kehinde Obayomi, Tope is the only daughter among three siblings. Hailing from Yewa, Imeko, Ogun State, she obtained her West Africa School Certificate from Oba Akinyele Memorial High School, Ibadan, in 1986. Tope pursued Mass Communication at the Polytechnic Ibadan, graduating in 1990.
Married to Soji Alabi, Tope Alabi is a mother of three children.
Tope Alabi's musical journey began at the tender age of seven when she joined the choir in her local Catholic church. With the ability to produce diverse traditional and modern beats, she transitioned from being a member of the Jesters International comedy group to a gospel music sensation.
