Ruth Kadiri Ezerika was born on March 24th, 1988 in Benin City, located in Edo State, Nigeria. She grew up primarily with her mother and younger sister in Lagos state as her father, Desmond Kadiri, lived overseas. As the eldest child in her family, Ruth didn't have much contact with her father during her childhood.

Ruth's childhood was typical of many Nigerian children, with much of it spent in the Ajegunle neighborhood in Lagos, a place known for its rough and challenging living conditions. However, she never let her humble beginnings limit her ambitions or dreams.

As a young girl, Ruth set lofty goals for herself. By the age of eighteen, she aspired to have her own apartment and be financially independent. Following her diploma from Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech), Ruth moved on to the University of Lagos (UNILAG). Here, she completed her bachelor's degree in Mass Communication.
