Obiora Obi Igwe popularly known as Obi Igwe was a Nigerian singer born in 1956 in Umunya, a town located in Anambra State, Nigeria. Despite his origins, he spent a significant part of his life in Aba, a city situated in Abia State, Nigeria. Specifically, he resided on Okwandu Street, which is off Faulks Road in Aba, Nigeria.

Together, they played a pivotal role in revolutionizing gospel music in the country.

April 10, 2024Late evangelist Obi Igwe was my role model, as child, during my days in primary school, his gospel music built up my faith in Christ, back then in Umuahia, as a child all the cassettes dealers knows me and i was popularly known as opara Obi Igwe due my love and passions for Obi Igwe, may God bless him wherever he is.
