Chinyere Wilfred is a Nigerian actress and film producer born on March 23, 1970, in a small village called Aguluezechukwu, which is located in Anambra State in southeastern Nigeria. She spent her childhood in Lagos State, which is in the western part of Nigeria. Chinyere has a twin sister named Chinelo Mojekwu, and they look very much alike.

Wilfred finished her primary and secondary schooling in Lagos State. She obtained her First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate. Afterward, she attended Lagos State Polytechnic and earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science.

Chinyere has always loved acting, and this was clear even during her time at school. She was involved in many theatre and stage shows. In 1992, she joined the Nollywood industry by acting in the movie "Taboo." This blockbuster movie made her famous. She was even nominated for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
