Born in 2003, Young Duu's exact birth date and month remain unknown. Growing up in Agege within a financially constrained family, he experienced the harsh realities of poverty early on, hindering his access to education.
At the age of 19 in 2022, Young Duu inked an exclusive contract with Zeh Nation, a record label owned by Portable Omolalomi, also known as Habeeb Okikiola.
Young Duu's musical journey began with the debut single "Show Show Show," featuring Portable. However, his breakthrough occurred in 2023 with the release of "Egbemi," translating to "take me" in Yoruba. Despite initial criticism for his humorous style, he swiftly won over fans with his infectious pop music.
A dispute with Portable prompted Young Duu to part ways with Zeh Nation, revealing financial disagreements and assault accusations. This publicized rift led to an outpouring of support from fans, including gifts and assistance from fellow artist Carter Efe and show promoter One Late, rekindling hopes for his music career.
On November 8, 2023, Young Duu released the poignant track "Oyinmo," delving into his and Carter Efe's struggles before fame. The song showcased his artistic growth and storytelling prowess.
Building on his success, Young Duu has launched a total of seven songs, including "Kunfayafun," "Rolex," "Mr. Money," "Egbemi," "Sho Sho Sho," and "Kilowa."
Controversy unfolded when Young Duu alleged that Carter Efe attempted to claim credit for his hit song "Oyimo." According to Young Duu, Carter performed the song at events without inviting him, intending to keep all the earnings for himself. He also accused Carter of falsely adding his name as a featured artist on "Oyimo."
Young Duu garnered the attention of B-Lord, a prominent Bitcoin billionaire. This collaboration resulted in a multi-million Naira deal and positioned Young Duu as the face of the Bill-point brand, an online mobile money platform.
With an estimated net worth of $4,000, Young Duu's finances received a boost through a generous gift of a new iPhone 15 Pro Max from One Kesh and a lucrative deal with B-Lord Group.
