Nwokoye was born in Lagos State, Nigeria, to a Catholic family. She comes from Ovim, a town in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State. She started her education at Air Force Primary School and completed her secondary education at Queen's College in Enugu. Later, she attended Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Anambra State, where she studied Sociology and Anthropology.

 

Initially, Nwokoye had a dream of becoming a lawyer. During her time at university, she participated in various beauty pageants, such as Miss Eastern Campus, Miss Royal Crown, and Miss Nigeria, and even won the title of Miss Eastern Campus.

 

 

 

 

Career

 

 

 

Nwokoye's journey in the film industry started in 2004 when she watched Stephanie Okereke's captivating performance in a movie. Inspired by this, she decided to pursue a career in acting and moved to Lagos, where she joined the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). After completing her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, she got her first acting role in a movie called "Nna Men". Nwokoye believes that the unwavering support from her family played a crucial role in her success in the film industry. Since then, she has acted in more than 300 films and gained recognition for her roles in movies like "Ada Mbano" and "Chetanna".
