Before the arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Kenya, Edoziem worked closely with Nnamdi Kanu. Despite residing overseas, Edoziem has staunchly represented the interests of IPOB at various international forums and conferences. His birthplace traces back to Ihioma village, situated in the Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.

According to the media director of IPOB, Emma Powerful disclosed that Edoziem will run the organization until its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is released. And will hand over leadership to Kanu once he is released from the DSS custody.
