Born on July 11th, 1998, in Osogbo, Osun State, he's well-known for sharing funny videos on social media, especially on YouTube. Layiwasabi was born in Osogbo, Osun State, and grew up with his mom and younger brother. Unfortunately, he lost his dad at the age of two, and his upbringing was mainly guided by his mother and extended family. Despite a relatively quiet and adventure-lacking childhood, he credits his mom as a significant source of his comedy inspiration.

His journey in education started in Osun State, where he attended elementary and secondary school. Later, he pursued a Law degree at Bowen University, progressing swiftly with the support of his mother. Remarkably, Layiwasabi entered university at just fifteen years old. Layiwasabi, a Nigerian comic, started his comedy journey as a teenager during a talent show in JSS2. He led a drama group called The Emerald Star, realizing his passion for comedy on stage. Growing up with a Christian background, Layi incorporates Christian elements into his skits, parodying popular movies and creating imaginative scenarios, showcasing his wit and acting skills. He also incorporates physical comedy, like wearing oversized coats. Describing himself as an introvert, Layi's comedy reflects simplicity without extravagant sound effects. There's a rumor about Layiwasabi being romantically involved with Eniola Korty Olanrewaju, also known as Korty EO. She's a popular YouTuber and aspiring filmmaker with a significant following on social media. Raised in Ibadan, she studied Computer Science at the University of Ibadan. Korty EO runs a YouTube channel featuring an interview series called 'Flow, With Korty,' where she has hosted celebrities like Don Jazzy, Niyi Okeowo, Ayra Star, BlaqBonez, and Ashley Okoli.

Layi Wasabi received the Most Entertaining Personality award from the Law Students' Society at Bowen University on July 18th, 2021. Additionally, at the Trendupp Awards, he won the Emerging Force award under the category Force of Influence, recognizing influencers or content creators with significant impact in the Nigerian social media space from March 2022 to March 2023.
