His academic journey continued through Korle Gonno 3 Junior High School, His Majesty Academy, and finally, as an alumnus of Accra Academy. Notably, Joe pursued draftsmanship at the Modern School of Draftsmanship before attending Pentecost University College.

Even though Joe Mettle initially pursued a career in marketing, his true passion surfaced in the realm of worship. In the early stages of his singing journey, he played a supporting role for renowned Ghanaian gospel artists like Cindy Thompson, the late Danny Nettey, and Reverend Tom Bright Davies. As the lead singer for the multicultural music group, Soul Winners, Joe significantly influenced the gospel music scene.
