The remix featuring Joeboy and Kuami Eugene went viral on TikTok, achieving global success and making history as the first African song to surpass one billion streams on Spotify.

 

Ckay's career continued to ascend with collaborations on major projects, including Davido's "A Better Time" album and his own EP "Boyfriend" in 2021, released under Warner Music South Africa. Notably, "Emiliana" and "By Your Side" featuring Blxckie garnered success, with "Emiliana" reaching platinum status in France.
