In 2017, Nelly featured in a lead role as "Grace" in the Nollywood movie titled: "My Girlfriend Is A Witch," directed by Chidi Anyanwu, produced and written by Uchenna Mbunabo. She starred alongside popular actor Stan Nze, who portrayed "Godwin," her boyfriend.

 

 

In 2018, she was cast in the popular television series titled: "Gina and Friends." The TV series was a nominee in the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) for Best Television Series, eventually won by the TV series: "This Is It," directed by Dolapo Adeleke. Chinelo Ejianwu also featured in the drama movie: "11th Thought," directed by Emmanuel Anyaka, written and produced by Annes Anaekwe. She once again cast alongside Stan Nze.
