He generously offered scholarships and funded the renovation of churches, hospitals, and several other infrastructures in his hometown of Ozubulu. One of his notable contributions was the construction and tiling of the Ozubulu road, which he completed without any assistance from the Anambra state government.

 

 

Despite Ozubulu town lacking a bank, Bishop Zubulu took it upon himself to build one. He earned the name Ebubechukwu Uzo, given by his townspeople, which reflects his humble and giving nature.

 

 

Known affectionately as the "Bishop" and the "Solomon of Ozubulu", he made significant contributions to the religious infrastructure of his town. He built two Catholic churches, namely St. Aloysius and one on his own property.

Thirteen individuals lost their lives in the attack, with some succumbing to their injuries in the hospital. Among the deceased was Chief Cyril Ikegwuonu, the 75-year-old father of Bishop Ozubulu. The perpetrators of the attack appeared to have known Bishop Ozubulu's whereabouts within the church and directed most of their shots in his father's direction, mistaking him for his son.
