Bishop Aloysius Ikegwuonu, also known as Bishop na Ozubulu, is a well-known Nigerian entrepreneur and humanitarian. Early Life And Education 

Bishop Ozubulu completed his secondary education at Comprehensive Secondary School in Egbema, which is a town located in Ozubulu, Anambra State.

Career 

Bishop Zubulu, due to financial constraints, put his education on pause and ventured into the business world. He relocated to South Africa in search of better economic opportunities. After achieving significant success in his business, Bishop Zubulu, being a philanthropist, gave back to his community in various ways.

He generously offered scholarships and funded the renovation of churches, hospitals, and several other infrastructures in his hometown of Ozubulu. One of his notable contributions was the construction and tiling of the Ozubulu road, which he completed without any assistance from the Anambra state government.

Despite Ozubulu town lacking a bank, Bishop Zubulu took it upon himself to build one. He earned the name Ebubechukwu Uzo, given by his townspeople, which reflects his humble and giving nature.

Known affectionately as the "Bishop" and the "Solomon of Ozubulu", he made significant contributions to the religious infrastructure of his town. He built two Catholic churches, namely St. Aloysius and one on his own property. 

In addition, he built the Ebubechukwu Uzo foundation, an institution dedicated to caring for the blind and other disabled people. His wealth also allowed him to provide a monthly stipend to every resident of his hometown over the age of 70.

Bishop Ozubulu is a Christian man from the Igbo tribe who had a loving family. He was blessed with a wonderful wife named Chioma Ikegwuonu, and they had three children together. His first son was named Obinna Ikegwuonu, followed by his second son Chinedu Ikegwuonu, and his only daughter Samantha Ikegwuonu, who was the youngest in the family.

Controversy 

Bishop Ozubulu gained notoriety due to a tragic incident that occurred on August 6, 2017. During a church service at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Ozubulu, Anambra State, Nigeria, a violent shooting took place, resulting in a significant loss of life and numerous injuries.

Thirteen individuals lost their lives in the attack, with some succumbing to their injuries in the hospital. Among the deceased was Chief Cyril Ikegwuonu, the 75-year-old father of Bishop Ozubulu. The perpetrators of the attack appeared to have known Bishop Ozubulu's whereabouts within the church and directed most of their shots in his father's direction, mistaking him for his son.

This tragic incident added to the controversy surrounding Bishop Ozubulu, as he has been both commended for his philanthropic endeavors and criticized for alleged involvement in criminal activities. It is widely believed that the shooting was a case of mistaken identity, with the assailants targeting someone else.
