Controversy 

In July 2023, there was controversy involving Nollywood actress Angela Okorie, who made troubling claims about her colleagues Anita Joseph and Uche Elendu. Angela alleged that Anita Joseph and Uche Elendu were involved in relationships with men for financial gain, despite being married. According to Angela, they would take young women to meet wealthy men at various clubs in Lagos in exchange for money.

Angela also shared a personal experience of betrayal, recalling a traumatic incident when she was shot after a show. She claimed that Uche Elendu, instead of offering support, spread false information about her online, suggesting she was shot by the wife of her sugar daddy.
