In addition, she has expanded her knowledge by earning a degree in Forensic Science from Federal University of Technology in Owerri, Imo State. In 2023 a fellow gospel singer, Maxy Micheal engaged her inside a shopping mall in Imo State after a long time close relationship.

Allegations have emerged that the recent romantic involvement between musicians Amaka Gift and Maxy Michael was a publicity stunt aimed at promoting their upcoming music. Amaka Gift has confirmed these allegations on her official Facebook page, stating that her engagement to Maxy Michael in Owerri was a setup and a promotional strategy. However, her page, boasting over 300k followers, was subsequently disabled. It is believed that Favour Ibex, her long-time lover, was behind the action.

In a social media post, Amaka Gift's alleged lover, Favour Ibex, claimed that he had disabled her accounts. He refuted the claim that her accounts had been hacked, attributing the action to a betrayal of trust, love, commitment, and investment over nine years. He stated that he had dated Amaka Gift for three years before introducing her to the music industry in 2017, and that he had created and managed all her social media accounts. He also detailed his investments in promoting and projecting her career, including financing music videos, radio station promotions, CD printing, outfit branding, and concerts.

Ibex claimed that the fake proposal video between Amaka and Maxy was intended to attract attention to their upcoming songs, but was never publicly debunked as agreed. Ibex accused Amaka of using their private relationship and his position as her manager to flirt with Maxy. Despite Ibex's attempts to resolve the situation privately and involve her family, Amaka continued her involvement with Maxy. 

Throughout their relationship, Ibex stated that he and Amaka had received blessings from both of their late fathers. Ibex claimed that Amaka wanted to end their relationship and enjoy the benefits of his efforts alone with Maxy, whom she had only met a few weeks earlier. Consequently, Ibex took down her social media page as a way of revealing the true story to the public.

Ibex concluded his post by expressing his disappointment that he had respected God by not having sexual relations with Amaka, intending to wait until she graduated before marrying her. He warned against betraying partners, stating that those who do so will not be trusted by others, and reaffirmed his belief in the inevitability of karma.

Amaka clarified that while she doesn't deny receiving assistance from Favour Ibex, she never had any intentions of marrying him. She also mentioned that she wanted to end their relationship on good terms, but unfortunately, Favour misunderstood her intentions.
