Alexx Ekubo's roots trace back to Arochukwu, a picturesque town nestled in Abia State, Nigeria. His early years were marked by a quest for knowledge and a thirst for exploration. It was during his formative years at the Federal Government College in Daura, located in the vibrant state of Katsina, where Ekubo's innate talent and charisma first began to shine.


Driven by a passion for justice and a desire to make a difference, Ekubo embarked on an academic journey that would shape his future endeavors. He chose to delve into the complexities of law, enrolling at the esteemed University of Calabar to pursue his undergraduate studies. However, Ekubo's thirst for knowledge knew no bounds, prompting him to further enrich his understanding of legal principles by obtaining a diploma in law from Calabar Polytechnic.


These formative years not only equipped Ekubo with a solid foundation in legal theory but also instilled in him a sense of discipline and dedication that would serve him well in his future pursuits.








Alexx Ekubo's journey into the enchanting realm of cinema began with a humble start, taking on a minor yet pivotal role in Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen's "Sinners in the House" back in 2005. However, it was a pivotal moment when he truly caught the attention of audiences and industry insiders alike. It was his captivating portrayal in "Ladies Men" that served as a springboard, propelling him into the spotlight and marking the beginning of his ascent in the world of entertainment.


Since then, Ekubo has continued to mesmerize viewers with his remarkable versatility and undeniable charisma. Born to Lady Jane Ekubo, a dynamic businesswoman and fashion designer, and Mazi Alex Ekubo, a respected petroleum trader, Ekubo was raised in a nurturing environment alongside his siblings.


As the second of four children, Ekubo shares a close bond with his brother and two sisters. Their family dynamics were enriched by a series of relocations across various Nigerian cities, driven by his father's professional pursuits. From their initial home in Port Harcourt to transitions in Kano and Lagos, each move brought new experiences and opportunities for growth.


Ekubo's siblings, Amarachi, Chioma, and Michael Ekubo, have been constant sources of support and companionship throughout his journey. Together, they have navigated life's ups and downs, forging lasting memories and cherished bonds that transcend distance and time.







In May 2021, Alexx Ekubo and his fiancée, Fancy Acholonu, enthusiastically announced their wedding plans on Instagram, eagerly setting dates for both their traditional and white ceremonies. However, to the surprise of fans and well-wishers, the anticipated joyous occasion took an unexpected turn in August 2021 when Acholonu publicly declared the end of their engagement, leaving many stunned by the sudden turn of events.
