Samson Uche Mogekwu's musical journey began during his high school years, where he adopted the name Samsong. Born on November 30, 1974, in Delta State, Nigeria, he later pursued his studies at Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma, Edo State, with a major in Accounting.

 

 

 

Musical Career

 

 

Samsong's musical journey began with the quartet Praise Creation, signed to Ivory Music Label, releasing their debut album "Best of Life" in 1996. After the group disbanded, Samsong embraced a solo career, unveiling his first solo album, "Count Your Blessings," in 2002, which earned him The Psalmist Award. Subsequent albums like "Still Counting" (2004) and "The World of My Dreams" (2007) highlighted his musical versatility and garnered him accolades, notably the esteemed "Best Male Vocalist of the Year."

 

In 2008, Samsong received a nomination for "Best Gospel Artist" at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) in New York City. His influence extended globally with tours in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Germany, collaborating with renowned gospel producer Chris Lass.
