Frederick Nnaemeka Leonard, also known as Freddie or Frederick Leonard, is a popular Nigerian actor, filmmaker, and brand influencer. He achieved recognition in the entertainment industry and received the prestigious Best Supporting Actor award at the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards in 2014. Frederick Leonard was born on May 1, 1980, in Anambra State, Nigeria. He is the eldest child of his Igbo parents and hails from Nnewi, a town in Anambra State, Nigeria.

Early Life And Education 

Leonard was born in Anambra state, Nigeria, which is located in the southeastern part of the country. This region is mostly inhabited by the Igbo people of Nigeria. Leonard is the oldest child in his family, which consists of his parents, a younger sibling, and himself.

He attended St. Peter's Anglican Primary School in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State for his primary education. Later, he went to Oregun High School in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State for his secondary education.

After completing his secondary education, Leonard decided to pursue a degree. He moved to Kaduna State in northern Nigeria and applied to Kaduna Polytechnic. Luckily, he was accepted into the institution and successfully graduated with a degree in biochemistry.

Career 

In 2001, Leonard started his career in the Nigerian movie industry, also known as Nollywood. Initially, he played small roles in movies but took a break from acting shortly after to focus on completing his university education and earning a degree.

After finishing his studies, Leonard made a comeback to Nollywood in 2008. He landed his very first leading role in a movie called "Indian Doctor." The following year, in 2009, he expanded his career by venturing into Nigerian TV soap opera series. One of the TV series he appeared in was called "Disclosure," which aired primarily on Africa Magic, a channel on DSTV.

Leonard began his career with a movie called "Grey," and in 2019, he took on the role of a producer for a movie titled "Void."

Family 

Frederick Nnaemeka Leonard was born in Nnewi, a town in Anambra State, southeastern Nigeria. Unfortunately, when Frederick was young, his father passed away in the year 2000. After his father's death, his mother became the sole caretaker for him and his sister.

Tragically, in 2016, after 16 years had passed, Frederick experienced another devastating loss when his mother passed away. The loss of his mother was particularly difficult for him to overcome, as he deeply loved and cherished her.

As a result, Frederick now finds himself as an orphan, having lost both of his parents. He has openly shared his feelings about the immense pain caused by losing both parents, with his mother's death leaving a significant void in his life.

Siblings

Leonard is the eldest child of his Igbo parents. He was born several years before his younger sister. Originally, their family consisted of four members, with Leonard being the second child. However, tragedy struck when their parents passed away.

As for Leonard's sister, she is currently attending Yaba College of Technology in Lagos.

Wife And Children

Three years ago, Frederick got engaged to Peggy Ovire. However, their relationship only lasted for a year before they decided to end it. On October 21, 2022, Frederick Leonard, also known as Freddie Leonard, publicly revealed his renewed relationship with Peggy Ovire, who is a Nigerian model, actress, and producer. They managed to keep their rekindled romance away from the media's attention.

Frederick and Peggy tied the knot on November 19, 2022, in Warri, Delta State, which happens to be Peggy's hometown. As of now, Frederick Leonard does not have any children.
